This is another card from my community – my grandmother. She has a huge open-mouth smile on her face and her eyes look like they are laughing and joyful. In the background it looks like a hymn book, and on top of it is a very small envelope and card and a Christian jewelry piece. This card and the one I will show you next week, belong in my community section. This card is a picture of Brené Brown. On the background behind her are two people on swings, and one of them is swinging on his belly like a superhero while the other person looks on with their hands up covering their mouth, perhaps in concern or embarrassment. There is a zentangled gourd image in the foreground of the card. The card has a vertebrae-like background and three images are collaged on top - a cactus, a turtle shell, and a circle of jumbled up and intwined metal paperclips. SoulCollage® cards are for personal use and SoulCollage® does not advocate infringing on the copyrighted work of others in any way, so that is why my card cannot be shared here. 6/28/2017 0 Comments Creativity and Play & RestThis card makes me happy.
Literally, it’s my happy place. It shows a human figure in a creek with arms wide and face up to the sky. There is a river otter that is much bigger than the figure also collaged in. In the background is a woman dressed all in black doing a yoga pose on a tree stump. There is a large red planet in the sky.SoulCollage® cards are for personal use and SoulCollage® does not advocate infringing on the copyrighted work of others in any way so that is why my card cannot be shared here.
Believing in my creative self has changed everything. Well, I guess I have to use my intuition and trusting faith to re-write about this card as, for someone reason, it disappeared from my word document. SoulCollage® cards are for personal use and SoulCollage® does not advocate infringing on the copyrighted work of others in any way, so my card cannot be shared here, but my card has two collaged images on it: a bunny resting in a nest-like setting with its back to us, and a woman also with her back to us, who is stretching out her arms and the shawl she is wearing.
6/7/2017 0 Comments Creativity and Gratitude & JoyThis was the first SoulCollage® card I ever made. SoulCollage® cards are for personal use and SoulCollage® does not advocate infringing on the copyrighted work of others in any way so my card cannot be shared here. But please imagine a bright yellow background with a female figure reaching towards a hand in the sky. There are also two other collaged images on it - a dog with a butterfly and a smiling woman holding a goat.
5/24/2017 0 Comments Creativity and A Resilient SpiritI made this card to help me with struggle. SoulCollage® cards are for personal use and SoulCollage® does not advocate infringing on the copyrighted work of others in any way so my card cannot be shared here, but on my card is an eye peering out through the cosmos at the top, and at the bottom is a tiger with a swan and butterfly balanced on it in a garden setting.
Brené says we are wired for strength and for struggle. 5/18/2017 1 Comment Creativity and Self-CompassionLet me tell you about my Self-Compassion card (SoulCollage® cards are for personal use and SoulCollage® does not advocate infringing on the copyrighted work of others in any way so my card cannot be shared here):
5/17/2017 1 Comment Creativity and AuthenticityIn SoulCollage®, a technique used to help you with insights about your card, is to journal or speak from the card using the prompt “I am one who…”
I thought what better way to express authenticity than to let you read my personal journaling from that prompt for this card, which I call The Perfectionist: SoulCollage® cards are for personal use and SoulCollage® does not advocate infringing on the copyrighted work of others in any way so my card cannot be shared here. But my courageous strength SoulCollage® card is the outline of a figure in seated meditation. In the head is a circle of clay. In the body are hands centered over a heart. And the seat is made up of a white tiger. The entire figure is collaged on top of a giant sunflower.

You are gathering your various inner parts, conscious and less conscious, lovable and irritating, beautiful and shadowy, and then you ‘sing’ over them so they can transform into a freer and more vibrant soul.” |
