7/31/2017 0 Comments Creativity Practices Would I do another 365 project?
I've done two 100 days projects and one 366 day project (hello leap year)! And here's some things I've learned about the two kinds of projects. This is another card from my community – my grandmother. She has a huge open-mouth smile on her face and her eyes look like they are laughing and joyful. In the background it looks like a hymn book, and on top of it is a very small envelope and card and a Christian jewelry piece. This card and the one I will show you next week, belong in my community section. This card is a picture of Brené Brown. On the background behind her are two people on swings, and one of them is swinging on his belly like a superhero while the other person looks on with their hands up covering their mouth, perhaps in concern or embarrassment. There is a zentangled gourd image in the foreground of the card. SoulCollage® cards are for personal use and SoulCollage® does not advocate infringing on the copyrighted work of others in any way so that is why my card cannot be shared here. 7/10/2017 0 Comments Creativity and Calm & StillnessWhen I made this collage card, I had no idea why I chose the images I did, I just knew they were speaking to my soul.
The card has a vertebrae-like background and three images are collaged on top - a cactus, a turtle shell, and a circle of jumbled up and intwined metal paperclips. I was at my 2nd Brick Fiesta, a LEGO fan convention with a public exhibition, and this story almost didn't happen because I thought it was already too late to enter the Master Builder Contest Game because I had missed Heat 1. My husband then kindly explained to me about preliminary rounds vs. final rounds, and thus our story begins.
