6/29/2018 13 Comments Tea Spirit of June 2018June 2018 “Energy” Dian Hong Tea from Global Tea HutThe 2018 version of the online course I offer, 100 Days of Building Creativity, began on June 16th. Each year I update the course with new daily creative courage quotes (quotes by different people on the subject of creativity), and add more resources, including a new guiding poem. This year we are being guided by the words of Mary Oliver and her poem, Mindful: Everyday I see or hear something that more or less kills me with delight, that leaves me like a needle in the haystack of light. It was what I was born for -- to look, to listen, to lose myself inside this soft world -- to instruct myself over and over in joy, and acclamation. Nor am I talking about the exceptional, the fearful, the dreadful, the very extravagant -- but of the ordinary, the common, the very drab, the daily presentations. Oh, good scholar, I say to myself, how can you help but grow wise with such teachings as these -- the untrimmable light of the world, the ocean’s shine, the prayers that are made out of grass? This is what living a life of tea and the daily practice of creativity does for me, it helps me to become more mindful and awake to see and hear the magic in each ordinary moment. When I take the time for tea and meditation and art on a daily basis, I see the world through fresh eyes, appreciating the amazingness of it all. When I wander from practice, I definitely miss wonder. I got to enjoy this month’s tea while camping out in nature. I spent way to long trying to get my first charcoal fire to light in my tea brazier, and the water took way too long to heat, but when it was finally ready, the effort and love that had gone into brewing those leaves made it one of the sweetest bowls. And then, as the ordinary extraordinary sun set, lightning bugs began appearing. I never see lightning bugs in Texas, and they remind me fondly of my childhood on the east coast. Needless to say, that afternoon in that setting spent preparing and drinking tea with loved ones was exceptional. But that was just one day. Most days are spent having tea at home with water heated over my electric stove. But in some ways, they are no less exceptional, because they remind me that none of this life is really ordinary if I am only mindful. “I think that when one begins exploring tea, the tea ceremony can be about blasting off into shamanic visions from the bowl to great mountain-peak vistas that let us see the pic picture, helping us to understand our relationships to ourselves, Nature and each other. However, the further we travel, the more this practice becomes about capturing the universal and steeping it in the ordinary – gathering the stars like lightning bugs in a net and letting them shine in the simple mason jar of our teapot.” -Wu De, Global Tea Hut Tea & Tao Magazine June 2018 Read More Like ThisTea Wayfarer and Tea Spirit Tea Spirit of December 2017 Tea Spirit of January, February, and March 2018 Tea Spirit of April 2018 Tea Spirit of May 2018 Stay Connected

This one is from a creative mind. Making the teas as inspiration is so unique. It reminds me of my best friend who had died last year. He really likes making and reading deep messaged poems. I wish that I can still see him. I will continue to do the things he is doing. I really miss him. Anyways, it is so nice, mostly the painting. It has a deep meaning. I hope some will still recognize the true essence of poems and arts.

I love to tea. I am not a huge fan of coffee. I only started drinking coffee when I started struggling with my writing job by the time I was thirty five. This had been a wonderful year, I think. For years I have been wanting to have a job where in there is no need for me to work a single day because I actually like what I do. Yet it really requires a lot of mental alertness from my part and it's frustrating that I may have slowed down already because I am not getting any younger. Coffee is an instant solution. But I guess tea is more effective in keeping us healthy.

Every day is a new life for us. Whether we are happy or not, whether we did a great job or not, every day is a combination of blessing and learning. We should accept that every day. In that way, we will be able to dace harder problems, strongest kind of wills and eventually you’ll feel that you have reached a phase you thought you cannot. We should be humble just like having a hot tea in the meeting. We should be happy and grateful.

There are days in where I always think of giving up in my work and just do artistic stuffs which I really love. I have a doubt in seconds but I know that I really love this stuffs. I really appreciate art. Money does not matter when you grow old, it is inner peace. You will definitely define success once you are contented on what you have done and have the inner peace when you grow old. Not all people can achieve this kind of thing.

I also get refreshed after having a cup of tea. I can provide Dissertation Proposal Help UK unless I don’t get a cup of tea in my system. By the way, this poem is quite heart-warming where even though simple vocabulary has been used but there are some deep meanings behind them.

It really captures the essence of this time of the year and the love for tea. It's always a great pleasure to enjoy a cup of tea with friends and family. Speaking of enjoying life, students nowadays are always busy with their assignments and studies, and often feel overwhelmed.
