“To brave the wilderness and become the wilderness
we must learn how to trust ourselves and trust others.”

-Brené Brown, Braving the Wilderness

Braving and Belonging Retreat

Next offering date TBA
Picture
Inspired by Brené Brown's book, Braving the Wilderness, this retreat will be an experience in practices of true belonging. As Brené says, "True belonging doesn't require us to change who we are. It requires us to be who we are." Many of the concepts we'll be diving into are also found in Brené's past works of The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, and Rising Strong: trust, authenticity, reckoning with emotion, curiosity and courage, living BIG, vulnerability, and unarmoring our hearts.

During the retreat we will use creative exercises, Equine Facilitated Learning, SoulCollage®, the movements of nature (Qi Gong), and more, to embrace both braving and belonging.

8 hours of continuing education are provided upon request.

"We enjoyed healthy home cooked meals, comfy cozy lodging and every detail attended to with amazing care. We were afforded every perk in Lee Ann's toolkit, from morning Qi Gong, a tea ceremony, writing prompts and a well-run schedule to help us squeeze every good thing into our time."
-Lisa T., Retreat participant at Braving Star Farms

"Coming to your art barn for a creativity circle has been a dream come true for me. It re-awakened my joy of art and invigorated me with a breath of fresh country air. This has been a fun journey, letting go of judgmental thinking about my creativity process and accepting what is."
